2308 PAPER : II - MINERALOGY AND OPTICAL MINERALOGY CO1 Student to understand the nature and occurrence of minerals, physical and chemical properties.

CO3 Student will learn chemical bonding, controles of mineral structures, mineral stability and crystal growth.

3308 PAPER : III - IGNEOUS PETROLOGY & SEDIMENTARY PETROLOGY CO1 Students will correctly approach to understand the principles that govern the origin of igneous rocks.
CO2 Students will correctly approach to understand the principles that govern the origin of Sedimentary rocks.
CO3 Student to gain knowledge on forms of igneous rocks
CO4 Students will develop a working knowledge of basic sedimentological concepts, including facies, facies assemblages, depositional environments, depositional systems, systems tracts, vertical successions, and stacking patterns.

CO2 Student will know the study of rock sequences with their age for a particular area. Also, understanding the evolution of that area with time.
CO3 Student aquire knowledge on origion of economic minerals and their distribution.

6308 PAPER : VI - Hydrogeology CO1 1.   Students will recognize and be able to demonstrate of the hydrologic cycle as it pertains to ground water systems.
CO2 2.   Students are able to explain how different subsurface materials influence fluid flow including understanding of aquifers, aquitards, aquicludes, confined aquifers and unconfined aquifers.
CO3 3.   Using data obtained from well or piezometer tests students acquire the skills to predict parameters of ground water flow (direction, rate).
CO4 4.   Students demonstrate understanding of surface water and ground water systems using the theories of hydraulically connected systems to predict the influence of pumping wells on availability of water in surface bodies.

7308 PAPER : VII - MINERAL EXPLORATION CO1 The students develop a basic understand of the discovery and acquisition of new mineral deposit amenable to economic extractive operations now or in future.
CO2 The prime objective of the students is to find and acquire a maximum number of economic mineral deposits at a minimum cost and within minimum time.
CO3 Most of the surface or near-surface resources have been explored , the students to search for new mineral resources has to rely on more sophisticated prospecting/exploration techniques

3308 PAPER : III - IGNEOUS PETROLOGY & SEDIMENTARY PETROLOGY CO1 Students will correctly approach to understand the principles that govern the origin of igneous rocks.
